Liim Drops Debut Album “Liim Lasalle Loves You”

Liim has quickly become one of New York’s most promising new artists. Drawing on bespoke, jazz-infused production, jagged rhythms, ghostly soul fragments, and freeform lyrical flows, the 21-year-old Harlem-raised artist’s genre-blending approach has resulted in a sound that bends structure and mood, fusing hip-hop, soul, and alternative soundscapes that reflect his New York City upbringing. Having recently modeled for Gucci and Supreme, Liim has also gained the recognition of Tyler, The Creator for tracks like “Petty Pete”“Edward 40 Handz”, and “Older Than Me”, rapidly establishing himself within the NYC creative community and beyond.

Harlem-raised artist Liim has shared his highly anticipated debut album Liim Lasalle Loves You — out now via THREE TIMES LOUDER. The 17-track project arrives alongside a new music video for “For The Both Of Us”, which finds Liim meditating on first love’s growing pains (“You know I adore you baby/In your Dior, couture, and all these things that I cannot afford cause I am young”) across the song’s sunny, synth-driven instrumental. That theme runs deep throughout his first full-length offering, a raw and reflective coming-of-age statement that explores the emotional complexity of growing into adulthood through the lens of shifting relationships, deep friendships, and hard-earned life lessons. The album follows recent singles “Why Why”“Mezcal”“Sahara Freestyle”, and “Older Than Me”, the latter of which was chosen by Pitchfork for their weekly Selects Playlist.

In addition to his recent co-sign from Tyler, The CreatorLiim Lasalle Loves You arrives on the heels of Liim‘s 2024 debut EP Petty Pete and standalone tracks like “Edward 40 Handz”. Raised in Harlem and now based in Brooklyn, he’s quickly made a name for himself for his unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and alternative soundscapes, which embody a patchwork of life experiences that highlight his New York City heritage. Despite attracting collaborators across fashion, music, and art, he remains close to the ground — his wisdom far surpassing his years. Still only 21 years old, he’s already modeled for Gucci and Supreme and has also recently earned critical praise from outlets like Pigeons & Planes, who hailed him as an artist whose music would “fit right in on a mix with artists like Blood Orange, Pharrell, and Steve Lacy.
