Delivering on the Promise of Her Viral Single “4U,”
I Love Nali Shows Off All Sides of the Young SInger-Songwriter’s Personality, Hopping From Genre to Genre With Playful Ease

Born in Brooklyn to a musical family, Nali fell in love with the piano as a child, but didn’t seriously consider pursuing music until the world stopped during the pandemic. With nothing to stop her from following her dream, the artist of Jamaican and Puerto Rican descent dove into recording, developing a raw and deeply personal sound with an authenticity that doesn’t sacrifice chops or complexity. At the age of 19, Nali released “POV,” which made an organic impact on SoundCloud and social media before she had even made a music-focused account. In late 2023, Nali got a boost when the popular music discovery account @IBreatheMusicAllDay discovered a snippet of “4U,” sharing it to his 340k followers and quickly going viral.

In early 2024, Nali released the finished version of the song, which became her official debut single, garnering notice from FashionablyEarly and Spotify Fresh Finds, earning a spot on Spotify’s 2024 Fresh Finds R&B of the Year playlist. Nali followed “4U” with her first mini-EP, No Spaces, which she performed live during one of her signature “Stoop Sessions.” Nali’s newly-released debut project, I Love Nali, is available on all platforms via Courtesy Of Records.

Rising singer-songwriter Nali is bringing lived-in musicality back to modern R&B. Showing off her velvety vocals and inviting charisma, the Brooklyn-born artist releases her latest “Stoop Session,” a live performance of “journal entry,” a highlight from I Love Nali, her debut EP. A lush and gentle ballad, “journal entry” is a message from Nali to herself, promising that no matter how hard life can be, she has the determination to soldier forward: “We gon get through it,” she repeats. Performed on her home stoop in Brooklyn, accompanied by a trio of upright bass, clean guitar, and twinkling keys, “journal entry” takes on a new dimension, as a seated Nali playfully sings to the camera and speaks directly to her audience.

Blending hip-hop percussion, R&B harmonies, and heavy notes of improvisational jazz, I Love Nali showcases the artist’s natural musicality and relatable lyricism, creating endlessly replayable songs unconstrained by mood or genre. The EP fuses those styles into a sound of Nali’s own, resembling a series of journal entries that reflect her moods and experiences. The young artist introduces herself and answers some questions about the EP in a video on her YouTube. Nali celebrated the release of her debut EP with a private listening event, hosted by Power 105.1’s Nyla Symone. Fans filled the event until it was over capacity, as they came to hear what she’s accomplished with her debut EP. Nali welcomed plenty of special guests, including Coi Leray, wolfacejoeyy, NY rapper 2300, LifeOfThom, Cisco Swank, and more.

The debut project by the artist known for the harmonious love song “4U” (900k+ streams on Spotify) is home to the guitar-driven recent single “crossfaded,” and adds seven new songs that show the breadth of her musical talent. Songs from the new project are featured on playlists like Spotify’s R&B Rising and Fresh Finds R&B and Apple Music’s Mood and Smooth and Easy. An accomplished debut that is the first step in her journey, I Love Nali arrives via Courtesy Of Records, the new label formed by industry vets Solomon Sounds, Daniel “Birdman Zoe” Desir, Saint Harraway, and Ryan Ruden.

With I Love Nali, the rising singer-songwriter invites us into her world, exploring the corners of her mind before she emerges fully-formed with her debut album. Stay tuned for more from Nali in the near future.
