Blanco’s brother was a heroin addict, and he bounced around living with different friends and family members during his teenage years. Despite these hardships, Blanco found solace in sports and friends, which helped him survive the tough times. Blanco describes his upbringing as a mix of ups and downs, and while he experienced many difficult moments, he also experienced beautiful moments within.
Blanco’s passion for music stems from his inspiration to create something that can help people, especially those who have similar experiences as he does. Blanco’s sound is not limited to one genre; his music can range from trap, hip hop, and club sounds to more soulful and conscious sounds like J. Cole and Mac Miller. He takes inspiration from artists like Gucci Mane, Dolph, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill, among others. Blanco’s approach to songwriting and performing is fluid, as he is not afraid to experiment with different sounds and styles.
Although Boy Blanco is new to the music industry, he is proud of his persistence and resilience. Blanco’s biggest accomplishment is staying true to himself and his vision despite the obstacles and challenges he has faced. Blanco has not yet collaborated with any other musicians, but he has some songs with his brother that he is excited to share with his audience.
