BunnaB Drops “Sweet Lick” Mixtape

Born and raised in East Atlanta’s Edgewood and Four Seasons neighborhoods, BunnaB grew up one of ten siblings; meaning she had to make noise early to stand out. Her real rap journey started in 2020, when her cousin pushed her to post clips on Instagram. A birthday studio session (gifted by her sister) in 2023 turned into the first version of “My Man”, which clocked over 2 million streams and turned heads. In 2025, she came back swinging with “No Drought”, a punchy track that felt like a lunchroom cypher gone digital, landing her right back in the conversation. Her first official project, Ice Cream Summer, turned up the heat: a carefree, fun-as-hell mixtape filled with distorted trap beats and mirror-worthy bangers like “Awf Da Perky”. But it was her summer anthem “Bunna Summa” that lit the match. With punchlines that stick like gum on a sidewalk and an energy that screams block party, the track was a love letter to late-2000s Atlanta rap, earning praise from PitchforkBillboard, and fans who just wanted a reason to dance again.

On the heels of her viral collaboration with Twitch stars PlaqueBoyMax and Rakai, Atlanta’s breakout force BunnaB has returned with her newest mixtape Sweet Lick — out now via Artist Partners Group. The ten-track set doubles down on her calling cards — quick-witted wordplay and club-primed production — while sharpening the edges that made her a summer standout. Alongside the mixtape, BunnaB has shared the video for “Ho Is You Cool?”, a trenchant vignette where she coolly sizes up the women orbiting her man and, with razor sharp clarity, makes plain her readiness to protect what’s hers. The tape arrives following last month’s “LMAO”, which was produced by Malcolm Flex. At just 22, BunnaB is also keeping her foot on the gas with her ongoing The Ice Cream Girl Roadtrip – Homecoming Edition live run, hitting HBCUs nationwide. The tour extends a dominant summer that included a surprise appearance with NBA YoungBoy at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena, sold-out shows, a flurry of breakout singles, and the premiere of her Bankroll Got It (Megan Thee StallionLattoDoechii)-produced single “Eatcha Beatcha” on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon livestream. Sweet Lick follows a run of high-impact collaborations with Atlanta icons Metro Boomin (on A Futuristic Summa hosted by DJ Spinz) and Jermaine Dupri (“Magic City Money”), as well as NYC hitmaker Cash Cobain (“Hoes Be Mad”), underscoring BunnaB’s momentum as one of rap’s most compelling new voices.

BunnaB is in the midst of an explosive breakout year, as her Spotify Monthly Listeners have rocketed from 8K to 4M since January. It was sparked by “Bunna Summa”, a powerful block party anthem that has steadily climbed the Billboard charts since becoming a fan favorite on TikTok, earning over 1.2M creates37M global Spotify streams, and 12M views on YouTube. Follow-ups “Innit” (feat. YKNiece) and “Mad Again” took off immediately upon release, setting the stage for last month’s sold-out debut headline show at Center Stage in Atlanta. She recently shared her debut mixtape Bunna Summa (Ice Cream Summer Deluxe), putting a cherry on top of her massive breakout 2025. Since releasing “No Drought” in January, (referenced in “WHIM WAMMIEE”“Somethin’ like BunnaB, ’cause her **** dropped a bag”), she has risen to the top of a resurgent wave of Atlanta rappers, gaining co-signs from the likes of Playboi CartiCharli D’AmelioKai Cenat, and Quen Blackwell and bringing back the city’s classic late 2000s style pioneered by GucciMane and BankrollFresh. Her playful sense of humor and infectious personality put a signature twist on nostalgic beats, attracting a diehard fanbase with a sound that’s both fresh and familiar.

With a team that now includes ATL legend Terrence “Snake” Hawkins (behind top acts including Gucci, Thug, and Veeze), Bunna’s locked in. She’s a storyteller, an entrepreneur, a crowd favorite, and a walking reminder that setbacks don’t mean stop. With a sound rooted in Atlanta but made for the world, she’s bringing back the color, charisma, and chaos in the best way possible.
