1. What inspired you to create your latest single, Centerfold?
Centerfold was born out of the idea of blending a sophisticated banger
with a street feel for the ladies — almost like a magazine spread that
pulls you in, but with that raw, authentic energy I’m known for. I
wanted something that would stand out visually on sonics, something
that would feel like it belonged both in the club and on a runway.
2. Can you share the story or message behind the song?
It’s about allure, confidence, and owning your spotlight. I tapped
into that “main event” energy as the females like to say, but put the
classic “Centerfold” word flip on it — The “Centerfold” commands
attention in every room you walk into.
3. How would you describe the sound and vibe of Centerfold to someone
who hasn’t heard it yet?
It’s a hybrid — high-energy, catchy, and stylish. Imagine a mix of
hip-hop swagger, sleek production, and a vibe that makes you feel like
you’re the star of the scene. It’s got bounce, but it’s also layered
with a refined feel. All in all it’s definitely an Anthem!
4. Did you work with any producers or collaborators on this track, and
how did that process go?
Yes, I worked closely with my producer E-Grillz, who really knows how
to capture my visions and turn it into a polished record without
losing the grit. The process was smooth — lots of creative
back-and-forth, refining each element until it hit that perfect
balance.
5. What was the most challenging part of bringing Centerfold to life?
The toughest part was making sure the track lived up to the conceptual
vision we had in mind. I’m meticulous about details, so every sound,
every transition had to feel intentional and the scope was fulfilled
to satisfaction – so I’m quite pleased with the outcome.
6. How does this single reflect your growth or evolution as an artist?
It’s a step forward towards showcasing variety and nothing boosts your
confidence more as an artist than stepping into new ideas and
ultimately crystalizing them into a track well done. You really begin
to feel the possibilities are endless in terms of expression.
7. What do you hope listeners feel or take away after hearing Centerfold?
I want them to feel empowered (Particularly the Ladies!) — like they
can step into their own spotlight. If they walk away feeling like the
main character in their own story, I’ve done my job.
8. Is Centerfold part of a larger project or album we can look forward to?
Absolutely. It’s part of my upcoming EP, Epic Life which spearheads
into the Epic Life LP Dropping 2026. Each track on the project
showcases a glimpse into a few sides of my artistry, from
classical-inspired rap to gritty street anthems and whatever may be
your flavor.
9. How has the reaction from fans and listeners been since its release?
The response has been amazing — a lot of people have told me it’s got
that replay value as club knocker and that it makes them feel like
they’re stepping into a scene from a high-fashion, high-energy film.
10. Looking ahead, what can we expect next from G-Epic in terms of
music and performances?
I’ve got more singles lined up for sure! I’m also planning visuals,
live performances – so definitely be on the lookout as there’s so much
more in store!
