Mason McNulty is one busy actor! He has an extensive resume that includes numerous roles on TV and Film. He also has three films releasing this year in addition to trying his hand at producing. Thank you Mason, for taking time out of your busy schedule for this interview!
1. Tell us how you prepare for a role.
How I prepare for a role is once I have been given the script, I go over the script several times. Then I decided how to act out the character.
2. How much rehearsal time is there between getting the script and shooting the film?
It truly depends on the project. I have had some projects where there was no time and I have had other projects that I had plenty of time to prepare. I like both of them. As I find both ways a challenge.
3. What do you love most about acting?
What I most love about acting is just learning about the characters. Sometimes they can be fictional, but other times when they are based on a real person it is fun to learn more about the person and try to be that person.
4. What is the hardest part about acting?
The hardest part of acting is just making sure you are listening to the others and making your marks on time. If you don’t make those marks or you’re not prepared knowing your lines you can cost the production a lot of money. And that can be very stressful.
5. What’s the craziest thing that has happened to you on a set?
One of the craziest things that happened to me on a set was I was filming a feature film and we were at an abandoned house that is used for filming. The house actually had caught fire several years earlier and the couple who lived there had passed away, and it is used now for filming. So, while we were filming, every one of us that were in the house felt a touch of someone. I felt pretty creeped out as many of the other cast and crew did too.
6. What inspires your content on social media?
What inspires me for my content on social media is just living life and having fun. Life is a dance, and you need to enjoy it every step of the way.
7. What are your goals for 2023?
My goal for 2023 is to go to college and make more movies.
