Kickstarting another era, Florida-born quadruple-threat, singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor, MK xyz returns with a brand new single and music video entitled “No Boys Allowed” via Epic Records and RZ3 Recordings. “No Boys Allowed” comes on the heels of MK’s previous single, “Baddie”. MK originally burst onto the scene with breakout singles including “Pass It” ft G-Eazy and “One Time” which garnered over 10 million streams combined.
Produced by the Grammy Award-winning powerhouse producer, Theron Thomas (Grammy win for Lizzo “About Damn Time” and nomination for Latto’s “Big Energy”), Sam Sumser, and Sean Small, “No Boys Allowed” layers airy guitar above hypnotic drums. MK xyz oozes nothing but attitude on the verses before they carry the chantable chorus with an invitation and a declaration, “Come and slide with me baby, no boys allowed.” They alternate rapid flows with magnetic melodies, showcasing the dynamics of their signature style yet again.
Directed by Madeline Kate Kann, the accompanying visual shocks the song to life on-screen. Our star introduces a slick look as MK and her girl-gang take over a power plant with on-point choreography and a whole lot of fierceness.
MK captivated audiences everywhere as fan favorite Tess on the massive NETFLIX teen vampire series, First Kill and the show quickly launched into the Top 10. “No Boys Allowed” and MK xyz will appear in an upcoming VICE News documentary, VICE Special Report: Out Loud. Stay tuned for more from MK xyz coming soon!
