Marking a musical shift, Deuce explains the inspiration behind the song:
“The inspiration behind “WAVES” comes from real moments I had with a woman I was dealing with outside of my failing relationship. I went through the euphoria of being with that person but still touched on the strain of outside influences in the dynamic. I had a woman, but my heart was somewhere else completely. The song was actually freestyled one night after I linked up with my engineer. The beat took me through a rollercoaster of emotions,” said Deuce. “I talked about both women simultaneously in the song, but most of the happy parts were inspired by the other woman,” he continued.
Deuce has no intention of slowing down as he gears up for his 2023 shows and takes a stab at acting and screenwriting. He also plans on expanding into entrepreneurship with his own cologne line and with building a school in Ghana. He is a man with a plan who does not limit his artistic abilities in any form or fashion.
