Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
I got a grip coming out honestly. I had a boatload of music out on all DSP’s, and it seemed overwhelming, So I compiled my favorites into 4 projects, the current one that’s out is called “This is a Lie..” There is also another on the way called “The Opal is Green,” It should be out anyday now, followed by “Sharpening Needlez” which has some killer features, I dropped the single with Caskey earlier this week. The last one’s a secret, but it’s about a woman I love, and it should be a doozy.
What is unique about you and your music?
I would say that if I had to call it, it would be the genre bending and style switching while maintaining lyrical prowess. Perhaps sometimes I’m too wordy.
What shaped your music?
Pain.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I make music professionally???!!! Someone call my manager LOWSA, he’s literally about to rob a bank.
What type of music do you listen to?Everything from TOOL to Seal, stopping at Eminem and Sublime. Odd, right..
What inspires you to write music?
The idea that my head might be a smidge less cluttered, and that a kid or kids, a person or people can feel it and apply it to their mental journey. Both righteous, and kick ass.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
SURFING.
Happiness to you is…
Having an album I don’t second guess, followed by a romantic surf trip with the girl that got away, some would call me an idealist. Lastly, and most truthfully would be my sobriety.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
the drugs kill you, they don’t make S*** happen for you. Great for the story though, should you survive.. most don’t pro’s or amateurs.
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
Sharpening Needlez is the hype. It’s very 90’s hip hop. Features Caskey, Raekwon, Prodigy, Esoteric, and Reef the Lost Cauze. I always wanted that crazy just rappy rap bars all day type of project. don’t hold your breath but we might have it.
