KKOKO is an emerging rap artist born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and now based in the Dallas, Texas area. Her music is rooted in trap, Southern hip-hop, and the kind of confident self-expression that has helped define today’s wave of female rap.
Like Cardi B, KKOKO brings a bold sense of personality and ambition to her music. Like Megan Thee Stallion, she draws from Southern rap energy, confidence, and a strong presence that feels built for both records and live stages. At the same time, her admiration for Beyoncé shows in her focus on work ethic, growth, and becoming a complete artist rather than chasing one moment.
KKOKO’s love for music started early during car rides with her father, where she would rap along to songs word for word. Those memories helped shape her passion for lyrics, rhythm, and storytelling. After moving to Dallas, she began writing her own music and practicing over free “type” beats, slowly developing her sound and creative identity.
Her style is energetic and upbeat, but KKOKO also wants her music to feel real. She aims to create songs that connect with listeners emotionally while inspiring them to chase their goals and stay true to themselves. That balance of confidence and honesty gives her artistry room to grow beyond just one sound.
With her single “Certified” and EP Certified, KKOKO has started building her catalog and introducing listeners to her voice. She has also performed at Roc Nation Summer Academy in New York, appeared at showcases in Dallas and Oklahoma City, and co-hosted an episode with Pirscription of Private Hip Hop Podcast in Waco, Texas.
KKOKO is still developing, but her direction is clear. She is taking inspiration from powerful female artists while shaping a lane of her own through Southern influence, personal growth, and authentic energy.
