In 2016, he was appointed Vice President, where he played a central role in operational growth, workforce development, and strategic planning. Under his guidance, Austin Roofing & Waterproofing expanded its capabilities to include large-scale commercial, industrial, and agricultural projects, including flat roof restorations, fluid-applied waterproofing systems, and single-ply membrane installations. His hands-on knowledge, combined with strategic oversight, positioned the company for both growth and technical excellence.

Throughout his tenure, Austin led several high-profile projects that showcased his operational precision. In early 2022, he oversaw the Parks and Recreation Facility project for the Township of Plympton-Wyoming, Ontario, successfully managing the project from planning through completion. Later that year, he secured a multi-million-dollar contract from a local private equity firm, managing multiple roofing projects across Ontario.
