In an industry increasingly shaped by speed, shortcuts, and social media moments, APOLLLO is moving in the opposite direction — slow, intentional, and rooted in craft.
Born in Texas and re-established in Washington State in 2018, the R&B artist credits the Pacific Northwest with shaping both his character and his career. While Seattle serves as his primary business hub, Tacoma holds a deeper meaning. It’s where he formed his first real music relationships and met one of his earliest mentors, someone he still credits with teaching him the foundation of the music business.
Music was never distant from his life. His father sang. His brother played drums. But instead of choosing a single instrument, APOLLLO gravitated toward production, fascinated by the idea that one person could touch every layer of a song — melody, rhythm, harmony, and emotion.
That mindset defines his creative process today. A typical record begins with a beat he’s already created, followed by multiple demos exploring different melodies and hooks. Only after recording seven to ten versions does he narrow it down, bringing the strongest ideas into a monthly studio session with a second engineer to tear the song apart and rebuild it properly.
His influences — Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, and Teyana Taylor — reflect that same devotion to authenticity and creative freedom. Not just performers, but storytellers who place emotion above trend.
That philosophy is especially present in his latest single, produced from scratch alongside B.Smith Beats and co-written with his brother Des. Recorded during a period of emotional hardship, the song captures vulnerability without filtering it for comfort.
On stage, APOLLLO strips things down even further. He doesn’t rely on choreography or theatrics, preferring to stay grounded and let the words do the work.
“I want to deliver the story the way it was written,” he explains.
After spending much of 2025 studying social media strategy and digital growth, APOLLLO is entering a more aggressive release phase. New collaborations are underway, including a forthcoming single with Breez Kennedy expected in 2026, and plans to expand his operations into Oregon and California.
Still, his goals remain grounded.
He doesn’t chase perfection.
He chases progress.
One record at a time.
