Lihtz Drops Breakthrough Double Album “Hopeless Romantic”

Lihtz is a voice for the broken-hearted and battle-tested storyteller turning street scars into soul-stirring anthems. Hailing from Philadelphia, he blurs the line between pain and poetry, pairing confessional lyricism with guitar-driven melodies and emotional hooks that cut deep. Whether he’s unraveling the complexity of a toxic romance or processing the ghosts of his past, Lihtz makes music that feels both cinematic and personal.

After rising through Philly’s underground with fan-favorites like The Switch Up and Heavens Basement, Lihtz first caught national attention on Meek Mill’s “Never Lose.” Since then, he’s built a critically acclaimed catalog that balances grit and grace—with 2024’s viral single “Serenity” and most recently the cathartic Crash Out”, which has racked up millions of streams and introduced a new era of vulnerability and growth, backed a Remix featuring Meek Mill and Fridayy.

After being brought out by Fridayy at Druski‘s Coulda Fest Tour stop in Philadelphia last weekend, breakout Philly artist Lihtz has shared his new album HOPELESS –– out now via PriceOvFame. Serving as his first project since the release of his hit song “Crash Out” (8M+ Streams) and subsequent Remix featuring Meek Mill and Fridayy earlier this year HOPELESS serves as the first disc of a 2-part album HOPELESS ROMANTIC –– with disc 2 ROMANTIC set for release next Friday, November 28th. HOPELESS ROMANTIC is a double-sided, cinematic body of work that captures the multi-dimensional world of Lihtz, simultaneously capturing the pain and perseverance of the hopeless, and the passion and connection of the romantic. For HOPELESSLihtz connected with a powerhouse lineup of features and producers including YFN LucciZaytovenKurTNTBeezoYegr, and Navi Beats. The project’s two lead singles “Overwhelmed” and “Savage Ways” set the stage to position Lihtz as the people’s superhero, carrying the pain of the trenches while transforming it into music that is proving to resonate, inspire, heal, and motivate. “Overwhelmed”, the latest single off the project, highlights the journey of Lihtz‘s career from his start in poverty to his current fame and notoriety, giving the listener a glimpse into the uneasy and overwhelming situations and feelings he has endured. HOPELESS marks the next chapter in his ever-evolving universe, showcasing both his depth as a storyteller and range as an ear-grabbing vocalist.

Born in West Philly, Lihtz remembers moving from shelter to shelter before settling into his West Oak Lane home. When he wasn’t absorbing the struggle surrounding him, he was soaking up the sounds of the city. “I think my mom literally bought the first Musiq Soulchild album on the street from Musiq Soulchild”, he recalls. With his uncle Big Biscuit being a rapper, Lihtz got his first bars off at the age four. By the time he was in high school, he was getting into rap battles. When he graduated, he began actually recording songs before moving to Atlanta to refine his sound. Lihtz returned to Philadelphia proceeding to earn a co-sign from Philly area legend Gillie Da Kid, release a regionally-revered album in 2016’s The Switch Up, a 2021 mixtape Heavens Basement and secured a guest slot on Meek Mill’s Wins & Losses cut, “Never Lose” (22M+ Streams). Re-emerging in 2024 with a new masked look and viral single “Serenity”.

On the heels of the Disc 1 release of HOPELESS last week, breakout Philly artist Lihtz has just shared his new album, Disc 2, ROMANTIC –– out now via PriceOvFame, along with a visualizer for “Green Ranger”. The new release also arrives alongside the news that Lihtz will be opening for JID on select dates of his God Does Like Ugly Tour, beginning on November 30th in Charlotte, North Carolina –– another milestone that captures the success of Lihtz‘s year since releasing his hit song “Crash Out” (8M+ Streams) and its subsequent Remix featuring Meek Mill and Fridayy earlier this year. The new release of ROMANTIC serves as Disc 2 of Lihtz‘s 2-part album aptly-titled HOPELESS ROMANTIC. Arriving as a double-sided, cinematic body of work that captures the multi-dimensional world that Lihtz has been building throughout 2025, HOPELESS ROMANTIC simultaneously captures the pain and perseverance of the hopeless, and the passion and connection of the romantic –– capturing the duel artistry of Lihtz in the process. ROMANTIC features previous singles “Crash Out” and “Savage Ways”, positioning Lihtz as a romantic and a people’s superhero, carrying the pain of the trenches while transforming it into music that is proving to resonate, inspire, heal, and motivate. “Crash Out RMX” (feat. Fridayy & Meek Mill) is also found on ROMANTIC, which tells the story of being in a tumultuous relationship and the emotional turmoil of navigating trials of love, separation, jealousy and commitment. Showcasing both his depth as a storyteller and range as an ear-grabbing vocalist, the release of HOPELESSROMANTIC caps off a breakthrough year for Lihtz and his ever-evolving universe, having recently culminated in a surprise appearance alongside his collaborator Fridayy at Druski‘s Coulda Fest Tour stop in Philadelphia.
