Andrew “Carnage Clan” Lloyd: Building Champions from the Ground Up

Andrew Lloyd, widely known in combat sports circles as Carnage Clan Lloyd, has made an indelible mark on the East Coast wrestling scene through hard work, mentorship, and a relentless passion for martial arts.

In 2022, Lloyd took on the ambitious task of launching a middle school wrestling program from scratch. What began as a grassroots effort quickly turned into a powerhouse—producing ranked wrestlers and crowning multiple conference champions in just a few short seasons. His coaching style blends discipline with technical precision, inspiring young athletes to rise above challenges both on and off the mat.

Lloyd’s own competitive journey is far from over. In the Masters Division at the Mountain State Melee, he secured an impressive second-place finish at 185 pounds, proving that he’s not just a coach—he’s a contender. His next match is already on the calendar: October 2025, where he’ll return to the mat aiming for gold.

But Lloyd isn’t stopping at wrestling. He’s now transitioning into the striking and grappling arts of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, expanding his skill set and preparing for even broader challenges in combat sports. His move into these disciplines reflects the same drive that helped him build a wrestling program from the ground up: a hunger to grow, learn, and compete.

Beyond the mat and the cage, Lloyd is a respected mentor and community leader. He hosts multiple wrestling and combat sports camps throughout West Virginia, spreading his knowledge, building networks, and developing the next generation of fighters. Through these camps, he shares not just techniques, but also the mindset and work ethic that earned him the name “Carnage Clan.”

Whether he’s coaching middle schoolers, stepping into the ring, or training for his next big fight, Andrew Lloyd embodies the spirit of perseverance and evolution in combat sports—and he’s only just getting started.
