Japanese Singer-Songwriter NISHIOKA Reaches #3 on iTunes US Singer-Songwriter Chart – Global Buzz Spreads from iTunes UK Top 10 to Spotify UK’s “Top 50”

Released in May 2025, HANAZONO is a track inspired by the streets of Hanazono in Nishinari Ward, Osaka—once labeled “Japan’s largest slum.” The song paints a raw portrait of urban life and emotional pain. 

English-speaking listeners have praised the track for its “cinematic atmosphere” and “lingering quiet intensity.” After breaking into the top 5 of the iTunes UK Singer-Songwriter Chart, the song made an unprecedented entry into Spotify UK’s “Top 50” playlist as a Japanese J-POP track.
