Nutt Kaze Solomon, a southern hip hop artist originally from LaPlace, Louisiana—just 25 minutes outside of New Orleans—has carved out a unique place in the rap scene. Blending southern roots with an East Coast edge, his style is best described as lyrical gumbo: a mix of deep-toned vocals, New York-style flow, and authentic southern storytelling.
Raised in a household steeped in music, Solomon was influenced early by his father, a musician who played in multiple bands before forming his own. Music was always present, with artists like Earth, Wind & Fire and Maze & Frankie Beverly providing the soundtrack to his upbringing.
