Presenting :Nutt Kaze Solomon
Nutt Kaze Solomon, a southern hip hop artist originally from LaPlace, Louisiana—just 25 minutes outside of New Orleans—has carved out a unique place in the rap scene. Blending southern roots with an East Coast edge, his style is best described as lyrical gumbo: a mix of deep-toned vocals, New York-style flow, and authentic southern storytelling.
Raised in a household steeped in music, Solomon was influenced early by his father, a musician who played in multiple bands before forming his own. Music was always present, with artists like Earth, Wind & Fire and Maze & Frankie Beverly providing the soundtrack to his upbringing. This environment naturally sparked a curiosity in song creation and performance.
A Fusion of Cultures and Eras
After spending several years between Louisiana and Harlem, Solomon developed a distinct fusion of cultures. His music draws inspiration from hip hop legends like Rakim, Slick Rick, Special Ed, and NWA, as well as southern rap icons such as UGK, the Geto Boys, and regional artists like Bust Down, C-Loc, Magnolia Slim, and L.O.G.
This combination of old school, East Coast, West Coast, and Southern influences forms the foundation of his sound. His lyrical content often pays homage to the pioneers who paved the way for today’s generation of artists.
Driven by Purpose and Craft
While faith in God remains his biggest personal influence, Solomon credits the trailblazers of hip hop as his professional inspiration. His work ethic reflects this respect—he’s known for completing full tracks in under an hour and finishing entire projects in as little as two weeks. He views music not just as an art, but as a mission to uplift, inspire, and entertain listeners across all ages.
Over the course of his career, Nutt Kaze Solomon has collaborated with a wide range of artists including Curren$y, Young Bleed, Kidd Kidd, Dizzy Wright, and Max Minelli. These collaborations speak to his versatility and ability to adapt to various sounds and styles.
Looking Ahead: Monthly Releases in 2025
With eyes on a big year, Solomon plans to release new music every month throughout 2025. From full-length albums to singles, he is preparing to flood the scene with consistent content that reflects both his roots and his evolution.
