JAMES BAY DROPS “CHANGES ALL THE TIME” DELUXE EDITION

James Bay is a musician’s musician: the UK singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer upholds traditions of timeless songcraft while confidently challenging himself and popular music in equal measure. He spikes a tried-and-true style with clever lyricism, honest confessions, and instrumental proficiency. This year, he returned with his thrilling fourth album, Changes All The Time.

Three-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated and BRIT Award-winning multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and guitarist James Bay expands his acclaimed 2024 album, Changes All The Time, with a special digital deluxe edition that includes four brand new tracks.

Changes All The Time (Deluxe) is available now via Mercury Records– listen HERE.

The lead single “You and Me Time” unites Bay with the GRAMMY® Award-winning icon Sheryl Crow. It marks their first collaboration together. On the track, breezy humming glides over bright acoustic guitar and claps. Uplifted in the swell of an energetic riff and stomping groove, it culminates on a chantable and cheeky chorus as Bay confesses, “All I want is you and me time. Meanwhile, Crow counters with a flirty verse of her own before leaping into a sky-high harmony on the hook. Then, there’s “The Elephant,” co-written with Holly Humberstone and featuring breakout Nashville singer-songwriter Maggie Antone.  A loose guitar lead gives way to softly strummed chords as Bay’s introspective lyrics strike a chord. During the hook, he accepts, “I can run from it, but I can’t hide, see the elephant from every side.” Lightly plucked acoustic guitar brushes up against his delicate and breathy delivery on “Latchkey Kid. He sets the scene,  “Latchkey kid, heart of gold, no one told you that things will turn out alright.”

Bay paved the way for Changes All The Time (Deluxe) with “Sunshine In The Room” featuring 7x-GRAMMY® Award winner, EMMY® Award winner, and Academy® Award winner Jon Batiste. Beyond amassing 3.5 million Spotify streams and counting.

He will return to the road in North America for his much-anticipated “Up All Night” Tour this Spring. It marks his first full-scale U.S. headline run since 2023. This jaunt kicks off on April 21 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, rolls through major markets coast-to-coast, and concludes on May 28 at MTELUS in Montreal, QC. Of course, the tour notably shares its moniker with his fan favorite 2024 single “Up All Night” with The Lumineers and Noah Kahan. The single catapulted to #1 on the Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay Chart as Bay’s first-ever radio #1 in the States.

The “Up All Night” Tour will be his first run in support of his acclaimed fourth full-length album, Changes All The Time. Beyond bowing in the Top 5 of the UK Official Albums Chart, it has already eclipsed 60 million global streams and counting and incited widespread critical acclaim. Forbes went so far as to rave, “Bay’s fourth studio record finds the musician at his absolute peak.” Associated Press  marveled, ““What “Changes All the Time” makes clear is that positivity — even in moments of tension — is Bay’s love of the craft shining through…“The folk stylings of “Changes All the Time” are likely to be embraced by nostalgic fans and new ones alike”” Perhaps, Clash Magazine put it best, “A potent songwriter, ‘Changes All The Time’ helps to reinforce James Bay’s musicality… it’s a record that justifies his place in the upper echelons of British music.”

The new album and tour further prove Bay’s cemented himself as a career artist, reaching new heights following the release of his definitive breakthrough smash “Let It Go,” which landed over a decade ago in 2014. A classic hit, “Let It Go” cracked the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100, Top 3 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart, and Top 5 on the Year-End Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart. Thus far, it has tallied over 3 billion streams, claiming a spot among Spotify’s prestigious “Billions Club. Not to mention, it achieved 6x-platinum status. Moreover, his total career streams are just shy of 9 billion.

Last year, Bay opened up for Bruce Springsteen at London’s own BST Hyde Park and joined his friends The Lumineers and Noah Kahan on tour.
