AURA Releases New Single “SMALL DROPS” — A Journey Through Sound and Time

Swedish progressive symphonic rock band AURA returns in 2025 with their brand-new single SMALL DROPS, continuing a legacy of powerful, atmospheric music that spans over four decades. While the lineup has evolved since their early beginnings in the 1980s, the band’s unmistakable sound — rich in emotion, melody, and storytelling — remains intact.

SMALL DROPS showcases the talents of current members Tommy Mattsson (drums and percussion), Magnus Ekman (guitars and backing vocals), Lennie Andrews (vocals, keys, sounds, guitars), Lisa Ruby Schoug (vocals), and Christer Oscarsson (bass and backing vocals). Together, they bring a dynamic blend of sonic textures and emotional depth, drawing clear inspiration from legends like Pink Floyd and The Beatles, while staying true to AURA’s unique musical identity.

Formed in the early 80s, AURA made their mark with the single The Puppet / The Faces Got Blood in Their Eyes (1980), followed by concept albums like Miljösagan Lunden (1983) and Dalen (1984). Their rock musical Dalen toured across Sweden and captivated over 100,000 people, cementing AURA as a visionary force in the Scandinavian rock scene.

Now, after eight albums and decades of musical evolution, SMALL DROPS is a testament to AURA’s enduring artistry. It’s a track that invites listeners into a world of soundscapes both grand and intimate — crafted with care, experience, and passion.

You can stream SMALL DROPS and explore AURA’s discography on Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, and other major platforms. CDs are also available for collectors and longtime fans.
