M City JR has continued recording while quietly delving into other business ventures and projects, which include art collecting, design, and more.
The YouTube premiere of the video quickly amassed over 15,000 views in the first couple days and continues to grow as his fan base has been eagerly waiting for new music.
Early Career & Viral Success
Growing up in the westside of Detroit, Michigan, M City Jr grew his fan base performing at local shows and events, including Hot 107.5 Summer Jam and other events throughout the city.
After achieving Billboard charting success as an independent artist for his single “Addicted to My Ex”, M City JR was signed with Atlantic. However, the success of the single continued to grow exponentially after leaving to develop his Yacht Club Social Network imprint. The song was consistently one of the top songs on TikTok and inspired tens of thousands of videos using the sound for years. The song recently crossed a monumental milestone after crossing over 100,000,000 streams worldwide.
