When discussing music with a focus on quality listening, we have two distinct paths to choose from. We can engage in casual conversation or delve into the truth behind the art. While it’s easy to talk about music with anyone, when you’re ready for genuine sessions featuring expertly mixed tracks, it’s time to turn your attention to CodeBluu.
In the intricate combination of the music industry, few artists exemplify the fusion of authenticity and business acumen as CodeBluu. A multifaceted talent—an artist, producer, and CEO of HartBoyz Musik Group—he has navigated the complexities of the music world with both finesse and fortitude. In this illuminating interview, CodeBluu delves into the profound themes behind his work, the lessons learned throughout his career, and the wisdom he wishes to impart to aspiring artists.
“Music has always been a part of my life. I remember my parents having one of those giant sound systems back in the day, complete with massive speakers that could rock the house. As a kid, I would play with the faders because they lit up, not realizing I was messing up my dad’s EQ settings. My family loved gangsta rap, and artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Scarface were my first introductions to hip-hop. Early on, I was inspired to pursue music by the response I received when I rapped in public. It was an exhilarating experience, and having a strong presence makes people take notice of you. My love for the creation process grew as I learned what goes into making records—writing, producing, engineering—the art of it all. You create emotional connections with people that, if executed correctly, can transcend time,” says CodeBluu.
Among his most significant experiences was booking a session at Patchwerk Studios upon relocating to Atlanta. The studio’s rich history and accolades inspired him to strive for excellence. “Growing up in Iowa, witnessing Black excellence in the industry felt almost mythical,” he reflects. “Being in that environment gave me tangible goals to aspire to, and I met many talented individuals along the way. His immaculate hustle allowed him to land collaboration deals with well known industry professionals Engineears including mix certification on Dolby Atmos.
From his exact experience living the ATL lifestyle converts the creation of “Luv Dem Strippers.”
“Being a transplant in Atlanta since 2014,” says CodeBluu. I have hit every strip club in the city at one point or another. My first year, I was hitting the clubs with CDs, trying to get spins from the DJs. I broke bread and made some good connections. The women inspired the record; some of the realest people I have met in the A were strippers. This is an ode to them.
This new single “Luv Dem Strippers” aims to energize club atmospheres.

To those embarking on their musical journeys, CodeBluu imparts sage advice: “Rome wasn’t built in a day! Take your time to cultivate your craft until you can deliver at a moment’s notice. Being a recording artist is a skill, and it’s crucial to master that performance to captivate your audience. Consider your recordings as your legacy; if the world began anew and only had your last tracks, would that representation be one you’re proud of?”
