Actress and Social Media sensation Charlotte Tucker has a co-leading role in the upcoming film “The Air He Breathes” which will debut on Passionflix in August. You might recognize this pintsized powerhouse for her role as Lily Loud in Nickelodeon’s “A Loud House Christmas” or from her popular Instagram which boasts almost two million followers. I caught up with Charlotte in between projects to get the scoop on this new film.
1. Tell us about your upcoming film, “The Air He Breathes”.
“The Air He Breathes” is based off of a romance novel by Brittainy Cherry. The story is about a woman named Elizabeth, who is really sad about the death of her husband. She moves back home with her daughter Emma, played by me. Then Elizabeth meets Tristan, a neighbor who is also struggling with the death of his own wife and son. They become really close but also have some adventures and surprises along the way.
2. How did you prepare for this role?
I had to audition first. I learned all the lines and sent in a self tape. They loved the tape and said I was their choice for Emma but had to wait a little while for the official booking. The scenes were some of my favorites and Emma is a lot like me. I really wanted this role and kept asking my mom if she had heard yet. I was so surprised and excited to learn that I booked it.
3. How much rehearsal time is there between getting the script and shooting the film?
I had the script for a little while and started learning my lines a week or so before filming. Most of my lines were in the audition too so it wasn’t too hard. I would just practice a few times before the day I was to say those lines.
4. What do you love most about acting?
What I love most about acting is meeting the cast and crew in the different projects. I also love seeing how they build the set and how it works behind the scenes. Crafty is pretty yummy and I love when they have donuts on set.
5. What’s the craziest thing that happened on the set of this film?
The craziest thing that I can remember that happened on set was scaring Faye, played by Jessica Craig. I hid in the curtains and jumped out at her. She screamed but thought it was funny. We had a lot of fun together.
6. What do you hope people will take away from watching the film?
I hope people will see that it’s a heartwarming story and that Tristan is really a nice guy. It has a happy ending.
7. What are your goals for 2024?
One of my goals f
or 2024 is that I want to fly to another country to film a project. I would also love to become the lead in a project or have a recurring role. I love being on set a lot of days. I will also be competing at a new level in gymnastics too!
