Jennifer Michele is a multi-hyphenate performer. She is an actress, writer, director, and producer in Los Angeles. Jennifer strives for honest storytelling in everything she does whether it’s a character she’s portraying or a script she is developing. I recently interviewed Jennifer about her career and any upcoming projects she has in the works.
1. Tell us about your upcoming projects.
I am coming out in a thriller. I can’t say too much about it yet, but I’m very excited about it! I will post it on my social media as soon as I can.
2. As an actress, how do you prepare for a role?
That’s an interesting question. I don’t have a set way of doing things. I prepare for each role differently. Every role is so uniquely different, and the process is also based on the character. I always try to be diligent in whatever I do from the start to the finish.
3. How much rehearsal time is there between getting the script and shooting the film?
That really depends on the role and the project. It depends on the blocking, action and stunts. Maybe there are cars or animals involved. When it comes to choreography stunts and fight details take detailed preparation.
4. What do you love most about acting?
I love everything about acting to be honest. I think storytelling is one of the oldest art forms there is. I really enjoy putting myself in someone else’s shoes. I enjoy being able to have empathy or a connection with characters and stories. I love it when something I have worked on has made someone happy or resonated with them. I enjoy entertaining people. Life can be a lot sometimes and I think being entertained can just simply be fun.
5. What’s the craziest thing that has ever happened to you on set?
I have never really had anything crazy happen to me on set, so I guess I’ve been fortunate. (knock on wood). When it does, I’ll let you know. All the people I have worked with thus far have been great!
6. What are your goals for 2024?
To continue to grow in acting, directing and modeling and just all the art I love. I would also like to work on music. This year seems very exciting for me. I hope to always get to make art for the rest of my life.
