What made you want to become a musician?
I’ve always been around music from a young age and my parents would play all types of music in the house. Around 94-94’ I made my first trip to New York for a family members funeral and that’s when I was really introduced to the hip hop scene and became infatuated. My cousin Don Dupree who was born and raised in Brooklyn ended up moving to West Virginia and staying with me. He was already into music and showed me my first music video and had me write my first rhyme at age 7. From that point on I knew I wanted to make music! When i found out in 2018 I can drop music on all platforms it was game over I haven’t stopped since.
What are some accomplishments that you are proud of?
Since I’ve released my debut album in 2018 I’ve seen my numbers gradually climb with every year and release and in 2023 I hit over a million streams on Spotify that was a pretty big accomplishment for me. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some significant artists like Dave East ,Abillyon, Chuuwee . Ive gotten the chance to open up for some big artist like Sada Baby ,Skilla Baby ,and Montana of 300 . Getting my Hard Times merchandise going steady is a great achievement ,but my biggest accomplishment is seeing the impact of my message/music and how it has helped change people’s life around me.
A big accomplishment is getting my song “PTSD” on a major radio station such as New York’s Power 105.1 Atlanta the beat 94.5 103.5 the beat Miami’s also 1045 the beat in Orlando and getting heard on these platforms from New York to Florida. Was so major in my career because it gave me even more motivation to go harder,because I see my work music finally getting recognized Another big accomplishment is being able to give back to my community, I recently had a Coats for Kids giveaway in my city White Sulphur Springs, Wv.
What are some unknown interesting facts about you?
I love to fish.I played football all my life. im a new father to a beautiful little girl. I make a new song everyday. I signed my first artist engineer and graphic designer along with 2 athletes to my label Hard Times
Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?
My biggest musical inspiration is Bob Marley and his message but in hip hop I’m inspired by everyone from Fabolous Dave East Sleepy Hallow Shordie Shordie Bia Lil Wayne Don Trip Don Q A Boogie sadly a few that are gone rip MO3 PnB Rock Nipsey Young Dolph. I admire everyone’s uniqueness cadence and the way they tell stories.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?
Yes I do a variety of things outside of music like ride dirt bikes and skateboard when the weather is nice. I snowboard in the winter. I like to be outside as much as possible.
What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?
Everything about it makes me feel passionate from the writing to the recording to the creation of the visuals and artwork. I love performing and turning up tha crowd I literally put my all into my music and it’s one of the best ways I can express myself.
