Jake Diaz is a Content Creator, Influencer, and Actor. His Instagram has amassed quite the following of young fans who love seeing all of his crazy adventures! I recently was able to interview Jake about his social media and any advice he has for aspiring Influencers.
- Tell us about your social media.
Hello and thank you for the interview!
My Social Media consists of my Main Page which is Instagram along with TikTok, Facebook and Youtube which I need to work on some more soon! I also just started my first business which is “The Kidventurist Toys & Collectibles”. Social Media is a great way to help support whatever you’re working on and meet others who enjoy the same hobbies and interests as you. You can also get some inspiration from other profiles. There are SO MANY awesome influencers and creators out there!
2. What was the inspiration for starting your Instagram page, The Kidventurist?
I’ve been an actor since age 9 and love it but wanted to show other sides of myself when acting was slow. I decided to call myself “The Kidventurist” and do a little influencing, brand collaborations, content creation, reels, dances, skits and adventure videos. It seemed to cover it all!
3. Do plan your content ahead of time?
My mom is more of the planner so she handles the bigger things and we actually sit at our brainstorming table and we jot everything down. I am more spontaneous and just like to get a quick reel or silly photo.
4. What advice do you have for aspiring influencers?
My advice is definitely to dive right in and just do it! Don’t hesitate or put too much thought into it. I am constantly changing direction or adding to what I do. There is so much to offer in each of us and we all bring a little twist of something different. That’s what makes us unique. When you jump in, tag me so I can support your new adventure!
5. What do you love about social media?
I love making fun videos for my followers. I also love to use social media to support charities and causes I feel strongly about. It’s a great way to encourage others on their posts too. It takes courage to put yourself out there and sometimes people can be less than kind. I like to make sure I am supportive to others especially when you can see they have put so much work and effort into their content.
6. What do you hope your fans will take away from watching your content?
I hope they will see that it’s ok to be all sides of who you are. I am funny, nerdy, smart, kinda cool, creative, honest, kind and also high functioning on the Autism Spectrum! We should be free to express all sides of ourselves without the fear of bullying or judgement. Just be free and have fun!
7. What other projects do you have coming up?
Now that the actor’s strike is over, my first audition back was for a Rolling Stones Video for their new album. THAT was a way to come back! Fingers crossed but with there being so many talented actors out there, I will follow the Golden Rule, “Audition and forget it”!
As I mentioned earlier, I just started my own LLC so I started my first business selling some pretty cool vintage toys, trading cards, vintage Star Wars and more. Once that is off and running smoothly, I would love to start my own brand of candy!
