Journeying through tales of love and desire, Musica Mexicana two-time Latin GRAMMY® nominated sibling phenomenon, Yahritza y Su Esencia, announced the release of their anticipated EP, Obsessed Pt. 2. The EP is now available on all digital platforms.

Diving into an emotional and passion-fueled opener, “Dos Extraños” finds a sentimental Yahritza crooning over an unrequited love and paired with the cries of a nostalgic guitar and gentle trumpet. Reminiscent of a past lover, the EP’s focus track immediately establishes the heart and soul of Obsessed Pt. 2. Catering to a change in mood, “Dubai exhibits the trio’s  suave collaborative penmanship over an infectious corrido. Composing the perfect love letter, “Rositas” sketches a tender love brought to life by a bright string melody. For the three never-before-seen tracks, Yahritza y Su Esencia once again collaborated with 20-time Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning and GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Edgar Barrera [Ariana Grande, Madonna, Shakira, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Maluma] to sprinkle the finishing touch on the emotion-packed project.

The EP is also home to previously released singles, “No Se Puede Decir Adiós,” “Nuestra Canción,” and the global chart-topping smash hit “Frágil” featuring Grupo Frontera. The fan favorite marked a special milestone in the trio’s growing career – having earned their first #1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart. “Frágil” was also certified platinum in Mexico, gold in the United States, and spent 12 weeks on Spotify’s Global Top 50 list. To date, the mega-hit has amassed over 606 million combined audio and visual streams.

Obsessed Pt. 2 follows closely behind a career-defining milestone for the trio with the premiere of their celebrated Tiny Desk performance. The concert featured notable hits “Soy El Único,” “Déjalo Ir,” “Inseparables,” “No Se Puede Decir Adiós,” and “Frágil.” Watch the NPR performance here.
