Rising Nashville-based popstar Tanner Adell has released her debut Country mixtape – the first of it’s kind, today via Columbia Records. BUCKLE BUNNY is a sultryblend of Pop, R&B, Trap – all whilst keeping its roots in Country.
With every release, Tanner’s range both vocally and musically becomes undeniable, true to the new class of artists who don’t necessarily fit into one exact genre.
The best Country songs are ones that exist at the intersection of where emotions meet experience. For rising Cali-bred Country star Tanner Adell, she has plenty of both. Tanner Adell’s superpower is her modern take on Country music mixed with unapologetic honesty – which will propel her straight to stardom. As she readies her debut mixtape BUCKLE BUNNY —another first for Country music—Tanner promises to keep reimagining music with unbridled innovation.
Tanner moved to Southern California with her adopted family at birth. Her father was born in the highly rural town of Springfield, Utah, while her mother spent her life bouncing between Santa Barbara, California and Star Valley, Wyoming. Tanner was homeschooled, yet spent her Summers in Wyoming, learning how to drive a four-wheeler at eight and a car at ten, living what she calls a “free-spirited” childhood in the country, complete with wearing cowboy boots.
In 2021, after the pandemic hit, Tanner moved to Nashville to pursue music. As a biracial female Country artist, she found Nashville-based record labels attempting to minimize the extent of her songwriting and call shots on her marketability. Genre never really entered her mind, as artists like Josh Turner were just as big of a deal to her as Beyoncé. Staying true to herself, Tanner Adell has continued her steady ascent to stardom. Having already performed at CMA Fest, while sharing stages with Luke Combs and going viral on TikTok thanks to the backhanded “Buckle Bunny,” Tanner is unleashing her debut mixtape of the same name. The project boasts the signature style that we’ve come to know from Taylor: fueled with flawless vocals laden with punchy lyrics.
You’d be hard pressed to find another star whose life mirrors Tanner Adell’s, and that’s why her music is so beautifully raw. Here is an artist who has experienced more in just a few decades of life than most will in a lifetime and has set those experiences to music.
