Singer-songwriter Khloe Rose has released her new single “The Other POV” via Medium Rare Records/RECORDS/Columbia Records. Co-written by Khloe and producer Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Carly Rae Jepsen, Alec Benjamin), the track showcases Khloe’s soft vocals as she floats them through a misty soundscape complete with her signature storytelling lyrics.
In speaking about the song, Khloe says: “I hate the love triangle trope, because there’s always one person who won’t end up with the main character and everyone knows it. It sucks to be the other girl who’s dragged into a situation unknowingly. Obviously, she won’t get the guy. I wanted to write from her perspective because we never see it in movies or books. We just see the happy couple’s perspective—not the girl who’s alone. This is the other point of view.”
“The Other POV” comes on the heels of her whimsical debut single “Fictional.” Khloe first shared a clip of “Fictional” in 2021, which then caught the attention of her eventual label home. During a break from social media, she finished the track and released “Fictional” late April. In just a few weeks the track has garnered over 10 million global streams and over a million views on the storytelling visual.
Exhibiting a novelist’s attention-to-detail, Khloe Rose will draw you into the middle of a moment or memory right next to her. The 18-year-old Northern California singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist conjures vivid imagery in her music—as if projecting a Gen-Z coming-of-age story on the big screen. In this respect, her lyrics resemble candid dialogue set against a soundtrack of lush piano and gentle guitar. Khloe’s story unfolds without filter on a series of singles, starting with “Fictional” and “The Other POV.” Stay tuned for more from Khloe Rose coming soon!
