This past weekend, as part of DIAGEO’s Society 2030 plan to shape a more inclusive world, DIAGEO and its brands partnered with Refine Collective to present their 2nd Annual Planet HER, an out-of-this-world community focused night bazaar and market place celebrating all things HER at the Chicago Athletic Association.

Guests in attendance were able to enjoy complimentary welcome cocktails by Johnnie Walker, Ketel One, and non-alcoholic beverage Seedlip, while shopping from Chicago-based multi-hyphenate women entrepreneurs and founders of purposeful brands such as Chicago for KeepsBlack Women Are Essential (BWAE) , Retro.ish Chicago,  and more. Notable guests included entrepreneur and former model Kirsten Corley Bennett.

That’s not all, guests in attendance also had a chance to experience live art performances by diverse women creators such as  Alyssa LowBarderies Hampton and dive into a live musical performance by Samsung NXT 2.0 finalist Nyla XO

“Refine Collective was created to identify and support minority and women-owned businesses with a mission to funnel purchasing power into the hands of the underrepresented communities. This Women’s History Month, Refine Collective is happy to highlight diverse women-vendors that are using their success to give back to our community at our Planet HER event.
Last year, DIAGEO’s partnership helped Refine Collective’s inaugural Planet HER be a huge success, and we’re happy to have their ongoing support to create a more inclusive world for diverse women owned businesses from all walks of life.” –  IB Majekodunmi, Founder of Refine Collective’s Planet HER

Girl power was in full effect at this event! See high-res images of the event HERE.
