Many new artists have flooded the music scene recently however, only thosewho put in the work and love creating music have made a name for themselves. The best example of such a passionate artist is Vibe ExclusivE.
Raul Ortega Garay, popularly known as Vibe ExclusivE, is a Mexican American pop artist born and raised on the streets of Los Angeles. A graduate of Lynwood High School, followed by Cerritos College and finally, the University of California, Los Angeles, Raul’s ambitions were quite different from other youngsters. Before eventually landing the idea of a musical career, Raul’s goal was to be a part of a gang. In his pursuits, he started hanging around the wrong groups however, all his ambitions turned to dust when he witnessed the ugly side of the business. Seeing his own friend getting shot in front of him made him realize that this path was not just wrong but didn’t even guarantee a future. Therefore, with the help and guidance of his older brother, Raul reformed his life and began recalibrating his vision.
Following the death of his friend, Raul began revisiting his forgotten passions and realized that he harbored a passion for music since his youth; he grew up listening to and imitating Michael Jackson. With assistance from his brother, he began participating in events and competitions that had the potential to get him noticed and soon enough, Raul landed his first professional assignment at 17, dancing in the background for Kinky’s song, “Hasta Quemarnos.”
This started a chain of developments in Raul’s life and steadily he got his foot into the industry. Among his other highlighted dance performances is his performance in Gabby’s, “Jerkin Takin’ Over.” In 2020, Raul as Vibe ExclusivE composed and produced his debut track, “Pull Up.” His debut track not only garnered instant fame but also caught the eye of veteran rapper, The Game, who offered him the chance to remix his famous single, “Pull Up.” Thus, Vibe ExclusivE was officially inaugurated into the music industry. He began his career as a pop and hip-hop musician and recently switched to Spanish reggaeton, expanding his skillset and illustrating his versatility, promise, and talent. Some of Vibe’s other well-known songs include “Be My Girl,” “Party Not Over,” “Vamonos,” “Feel The Vibe,” and “La Llamada.” Vibe ExclusivE hasalso collaborated with a number of renowned rap artists such as Fat Joe, The Game, and Zaythoven. Currently residing in Virginia, Vibe also serves as an Aircrew Survival Equipmentman in the United States Navy and manages to uphold not just his duties as a patriot but also as a pop artist.
