Here at Limitless Magazine we had the privilege of interviewing a young on the rise musician who goes by DaYYGaaD. DaYYGaaD is from New York City and is an artist who loves to inspire others with his content. He states ” I feel self belief is the cornerstone of any great accomplishment“. Limitless: Can you tell our readers about what really inspired you to write music?
A: Being in Prison is what actually inspired me to write music . Post prison I kept that inspiration because music haunted me like a ghost it kept telling my spirit to give it life .
Limitless: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
A: when I couldn’t escape music . I tried quitting , going away from it but it kept talking to my spirit saying give me life . So I gave in and took it more seriously.
Limitless: How do you describe your sound/style?
A: my sound is me I don’t sound like anyone else . Unorthodox rare unique style .depending on the song but overall my sound is not your typical artist
Limitless: What’s your process for dealing with performance anxiety?
A: take a shot of liquor and remind myself that I gotta break this generational curse of being poor. Or pray to have the strength to overcome anxiety and fear nothing
Limitless: What is your creative process when creating a new song?
A: I have to be alone. I don’t like people around me . I might sip something depending on my mood . But definitely being alone gives me more power and listening to the beat and letting it flow. Being 1 with the beat
Limitless: Tell us about your new releases. What song are you pushing right now?
A: I have a new song dropping in august called “who” . I just recently released a song call BnB . Trying to give the people a vibe. Wasn’t aiming for any substance on these .
Limitless: What projects do you have in the near future?
A: I’m currently working on my mixtape, I’ve just been dropping singles . I’m planning on dropping it late December or early 2023 god spare. ! DaYYGaaD music is everywhere music is streamed . Go check me out.
