The Los Angeles Builders Ball® celebrated the donors and partners of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA). Also acknowledging its counterparts in the building, including real estate and other related industries, who have impacted the landscape of Los Angeles. Held at the historic Beverly Hilton, this event was designed to raise awareness and funds to help empower families, build strength, and stability in our communities through home ownership. Home ownership is something that can help many generate generational wealth and create a lasting family legacy.
Each year, Habitat LA honors three outstanding partners who have contributed their time, talent, and resources to transform communities in greater Los Angeles and beyond. The organization is proud to award the following 2022 honorees: Clark Construction, Builder of the Year, City National Bank, Foundation Builder, and Award Winning actor-director Chandra Wilson, Dream Builder. Each honoree has had a substantial influence on the city of Los Angeles and will continue to be game changers.
For entertainment, legendary R&B/Soul group Morris Day and The Time performed. Formed by the late great Prince and Morris Day himself in 1981, the performance opened up with scenes of Day and Prince’s previous work. Attendees were in for a treat as the Habitat for Humanity reminded everyone of the importance of making affordable housing available to all. Special guests and supporters in attendance included annual supporter Tina Knowles-Lawson, Byron Scott (NBA Legend), Jonathan Scott (TV personality), Sibley Scoles (entertainment host), Ethan Cutkosky (actor), Angela Lewis (actress), Taja V. Simpson (actress), Bim Fernandez (heiress and singer), KiKi Shepard (TV host), Kate Linder (actress), Areva Martin (media expert), Glynn Turman (actor), Lisa LoCiero (actress), and Keith David (actor).
