Red Bull BC One is the biggest and most prestigious one-on-one breaking competition in the world. Every year, thousands of breakers compete for a chance to represent at the World Final. With 20 World Finals hosted in major cities around the world since 2004, Red Bull BC One has over 90 qualifying events and programs (cyphers and camps) in over 28 markets. Red Bull BC One is also home to one of the most competitive breaking crews in the world, the Red Bull BC One All-Stars.
Red Bull BC One, the world’s most prestigious one-on-one breaking competition, returns to the U.S. for its 2025 season with regional qualifiers, an immersive Red Bull BC One Camp experience, and the USA National Cypher (aka the national championship). Winners will advance to compete at the Red Bull BC One World Final in Tokyo on November 9.
The official 2025 Red Bull BC One USA season will feature two Regional Cypers (qualifying events), taking place in Minneapolis on March 29 and New York on May 9, where 16 b-boys and 16 b-girls will take center stage, putting gravity-defying moves, musicality, and creativity to the test, across a series of bracket-style rounds. Winners will earn a coveted spot at the Red Bull BC One USA National Cypher in Denver on May 18, where they will compete for the national championship title and the chance to represent the U.S. at the World Final in Tokyo.
In the 1980’s, hip-hop culture exploded in Japan, igniting a movement that continues to thrive today. The country has given rise to some of the greatest breakers of our time, including Red Bull BC One All-Star and Japanese B-Girl Ami Yuasa who made history by winning gold in Paris. Now, the next chapter unfolds in Tokyo, on the Red Bull BC One World Final stage, as the top b-boys and b-girls set the scene for an unforgettable night where style, skill, and innovation will define the next world champion.
“Paris introduced breaking to a whole new audience, and I’m excited for those fans to continue their journey with the sport by following Red Bull BC One,” says two-time Red Bull BC One World Champion and bronze medalist, Victor Montalvo, better known as B-Boy Victor. “For over 20 years, the ultimate title in international breaking has always been the Red Bull BC One World Champion. I can’t wait to see how the next generation steps up to the challenge this year.”
The ultimate breakdance weekend starts with Red Bull BC One Camp USA on May 16-17 which will provide a free two-day immersive experience for breakers and fans alike, featuring various dance workshops and exhibition battles. Held at Beta Event Center, this year’s camp will bring together world-class breakers, DJs, and hip-hop legends for an interactive weekend that celebrates breaking culture.
Breaking made waves with its summer 2024 debut in Paris, offering the world a contemporary glimpse into its artistry and global reach. Yet, its heart remains rooted in the grassroots communities that have nurtured and propelled the movement in its most authentic form. For over two decades, Red Bull has been a dedicated partner in breaking, giving wiiings to breakers all over the world and becoming the leading platform in international breaking.
