An Evangelist, business owner, pastor, financial advisor, and author, Dr. Darren Duran Hulbert was born in 1965 in America. In 1988, Hulbert graduated from the University of California Los Angeles, and in 1994, he completed a Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary. Post that, in 2004, Hulbert earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Leadership Development from Dallas Theological Seminary. And later, in 2015, he attended Point Loma Nazarene University for a Master of Education.
Hulbert’s love for spirituality and God turned him into a “Man of God.” He has been pastoring since his college days. His passion for pastoring grew stronger every day, and thus, following the pastorate, Hulbert started a ministry called Advancing God’s Kingdom to propagate entrepreneurs’ spirituality in the seminar industry. The organization intends to focus on an individual’s beliefs and build his spiritual intelligence.
Hulbert’s life circumnavigates around God and spirituality, not only for himself but for others too. In 2001, Hulbert founded a corporation as a not-for-founder’s-profit to participate in Jesus’ Great Commission. The corporation keenly focuses on evangelizing the business community in America. The corporation was 501(c)3 means it was exempted from federal income tax. His corporation allowed him to fulfill one of his dreams of founding a hundred churches in his life.
Hulbert dedicated and endeavored his life to evangelizing, pastoring, and following the noble path of God, and to achieve this; he worked throughout his life. From 1988 through 1990, Hulbert served as an Associate Pastor at Grace Fellowship Church, Norco, Riverside County, in Southern California. After completing seminary education, he focused on scripture exposition in Seminary. Hulbert also helps people comprehend the Bible and equip its teachings for a lifetime of study. Hulbert also served Lebec Community Church in the mountain community north of Los Angeles for seven years. There, he focused on letting people understand God’s love and holiness.
As they say, there is no spiritual teacher other than your soul, and we need highly regarded books to strengthen our souls. In the Doctor of Ministry Faculty at Dallas Theological Seminary, Hulbert presented his dissertation “Lay Leadership Development in the Context of Church Planting in California Southern Baptist Churches” during his Ph.D. days in 2004. His study focused on the basic training of graduates and their extent of leadership development success.
Other than his thesis work, he authored two prestigious books. One is CEO of Self: Leading Your Seven Cultures Amid Chaos, which talks about how a person should operate and function in society using his intelligence and encephalon. It explains how to use your own strategies rather than blindly following others. The second book is The Whole Purpose of God which talks about spiritual intelligence, the cryptography of the text underlying the teaching of the Bible, and it reflects baptism, pastoring, and Evangelism. Nowadays, Hulbert lives in Bakersfield, California. He founded Kingdom Investor Group, a domestic stock company supporting leadership development, financial intelligence, and real estate.
